The Morris County government has started its own channel on You Tube to help residents of the county stay better connected to their county government.

The county’s You Tube channel, , consists of a video library that features the freeholders’ TV show “Focus on Morris County,” which airs on Cablevision and Comcast cable systems in the county.

“The TV show details the various aspects of Morris County government and some of the services and programs it offers,” said Freeholder Director Gene Feyl. “Each show contains a good deal of information, which if our residents miss when it airs on television, they can view at their leisure on You Tube.”

The county’s You Tube videos that are currently on the channel provide overviews of such topics as the county budget, the Morris Area Paratransit System or MAPS, the Juvenile Firesetter Prevention Program and the open space projects that were funded in 2010.

The You Tube channel also includes video from the Morris County Park Commission.
