Morris County’s 8th Annual National Night Out, hosted by the Morris County Park Police and the Morris County Park Commission, returns to Mennen Sports Arena in Morris Township on Tuesday, Aug. 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Scores of representatives from county fire and police departments and social services agencies will be on hand to endorse the importance of crime and drug awareness.

For the last three years, Morris County’s National Night Out has been named one of best events of its kind in the nation by the National Association of Town Watch.

Attendees this year will be able to investigate the essential equipment and vehicles of police, fire, and emergency personnel. Emergency vehicles such as motorcycles, ambulances, all-terrain vehicles, fire engines, squad cars and a helicopter will be on display, and the horses of the Morris County Park Police’s award-winning Mounted Equestrian Unit will be there as well.

The Park Police will also provide free Child ID cards. Music, live entertainment, free food, drinks and ice skating will also be part of the evening.
