The Morris County Division of Transportation reminds commuters that NJ Transit will be eliminating service on the Morris County Metro Bus lines 4, 5 and 7 over the next several weeks.
The action is being taken by the NJ Transit board of directors to help close the agency’s $300 million budget gap.
The last day of service for MCM #4, which runs through Dover, Randolph, Chester, Mendham, Morris Township, Morristown and to Honeywell in Morris Township, will be Friday, July 2.
MCM #5 will stop running Wednesday, June 30. MCM #5 makes stops in Morristown, Chester, Schooley’s Mountain, Hackettstown, at the ITC Crossing, in Budd Lake, Netcong, Roxbury, Dover and the Rockaway Mall.
MCM #7 will have its service discontinued July 2. MCM #7 makes stops in Milton, Lake Swannanoa, Jefferson, at the Rockaway Mall, in Dover and at the K-Mart Plaza in Randolph.
