“Many years ago, the Friends of Frelinghuysen Arboretum’s Board of Trustee’s selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners” said Lesley Parness, Superintendent of Horticultural Education at the Morris County Park Commission. “In 2010, we decided to let the public voice their opinions and created the People’s Choice Award.

This year’s Peoples Choices Award sponsor was Village Shop Rite of Morristown, which provided $100 store gift certificates to each winner.

“The People’s Choice Award is a way for the public to express their sentiments,” continued Ms. Parness. “Every single entry receives a ribbon and every one is a winner to us, because it brings happiness and a smile to all guests. It’s wonderful to see so many people enjoying the grounds of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in the winter and discovering how beautiful the gardens are at this time of year,” she concluded.
