Roads to be improved include sections of Ridgedale Avenue, in a busy residential area crossing from Florham Park into East Hanover; Blue Mill Road in Harding, Whitehall Road in Montville, West Blackwell Street in Dover, and West Randolph Avenue in Mine Hill.
In addition, work is in progress on county resurfacing projects on Dover-Chester and Millbrook roads in Randolph, and Mount Hope Avenue in Dover and Rockaway Township, while preliminary work has started on Fairmount Avenue in the Chathams.
Meanwhile, contractors have recently completed road resurfacing projects on East Hanover Avenue in Hanover and Morris Township and Mt. Pleasant Avenue in East Hanover.
“We are keeping our promise to aggressively deal with needed road improvements across our county, especially to deal with the battering caused by recent harsh winters, and to make sure they are safe for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians,’’ said Morris County Freeholder David Scapicchio, who is the county governing board’s liaison on public works projects.

“We are working hard to get as many projects as possible done before the colder weather moves in and shuts down our resurfacing work,’’ he added.
