Statement on the Passing of Former Morris County Freeholder Jack SchrierThe Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders offer their deepest sympathy to the family of former Morris County Freeholder Jack Schrier, who regrettably passed away this week.

Jack Schrier served with honor as a freeholder from 1999 through 2010, always showing a passion for the needs of county residents and working tirelessly on their behalf. He was a particularly strong advocate of preserving open space, farmland and historic sites in Morris County, helping to keep the county green while honoring its history and improving our quality of life. He was proud of his appointment by the Governor to the Highlands Council and served as its Acting Chairman.

Jack also was instrumental in the creation of the Morris County September 11th Memorial.
