CCM Foundation to Honor Atlantic Health System’s Joseph TrunfioIn recognition of his three decades of service to the community, as well as his leadership role in New Jersey’s hospital industry, Joseph Trunfio, retiring president and CEO of Atlantic Health System, will be the recipient of the County College of Morris Foundation’s 2015 Leadership Award.

The honor will be bestowed at the CCM Foundation Scholarship Gala, to be held Friday, May 1, at the Hanover Marriott in Hanover Township.

In addition to Dr. Trunfio, four CCM graduates will receive alumni awards: Paul Goudreau ’86, director of Global Market Access-Oncology at Merck & Co., will be honored as Alumnus of the Year; Jean Snopkowski ’94, director of Government Programs at Solix, Inc., will receive the Alumni Achievement award; David Artuso ’86, lead communications specialist for Prudential Financial, will receive the Alumni Service award; and Margaret (Peggy) Lund Fitzgibbon ’88, ’95, research project manager at the National Institutes of Health, is this year’s Alumni Humanitarian.

“In addition to honoring our very deserving alumni, we’re pleased to be recognizing Dr. Trunfio, not only for his four-decade impact on healthcare in Morris County, but for his great generosity and support of our area’s non-profit community,” said Joseph Vitale, president of the CCM Foundation. “He has contributed greatly to improving the quality of life and health in Morris County.”
