Tickets are still available for the “Sustenance on the Farm Dinner” at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township on Sunday, Aug. 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event, which also includes a farm tour, will be hosted by Friends of Fosterfields and Cooper Gristmill, Slow Foods of Northern New Jersey, and Sustenance, LLC Green Events.

The evening begins with Farmer Rob Kibbe conducting a leisurely horse-drawn wagon ride around the estate farm. After the tour, guests will enjoy an elegant six-course farm-to-table dinner, featuring heirloom vegetables grown at Fosterfields.

Dinner will be prepared by chef Scott Cutaneo, owner of Equus Tavern and Claremont Tavern, both in Bernardsville. Chef and chocolate artisan Diane Pinder of Donna & Company will prepare dessert. Complimenting the dinner will be foods from artisans located within a small radius of the farm.

Organic/sustainable wines will be paired with each offering by Opici Wine Importers.

During the dinner, guests will hear from the farmer, chef, food artisans, and other local food experts and advocates about sustainable food choices, earth stewardship, and food justice programs.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Fosterfields Living Historical Farm’s school programs and the earth stewardship and food justice programs of Slow Food Northern New Jersey.
